A leading researcher in platelet-rich plasma therapy for degenerative disease and sports injury, Dr. Borg Stein also has clinical and research specialties in, diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, prolotherapy, cell therapies for sports injuries, arthritis as well as women’s musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Dr. Alec Meleger specializes in non-surgical management of spine related conditions and spinal pain. His primary role involves comprehensive evaluation of patients with spine disorders and in developing individualized interdisciplinary treatment plan.
Dr. Meleger is a board-certified, fellowship trained interventional spine physiatrist who is a member of medical staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Meleger received his undergraduate degree from Boston University majoring in chemistry. He then received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine followed by residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital-Harvard Medical School training program. Dr. Meleger went on to receive specialized fellowship training in Pain Medicine at University of California-Davis Medical Center where he attained further expertise in comprehensive patient evaluation and interventional spine care.
