A leading researcher in platelet-rich plasma therapy for degenerative disease and sports injury, Dr. Borg Stein also has clinical and research specialties in, diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, prolotherapy, cell therapies for sports injuries, arthritis as well as women’s musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Elyse Rosenberg, PhD is a pain psychologist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Tufts University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center and post-doctoral fellowship in consultation/liaison psychiatry at the Institute of Living/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Prior to joining the Pain Management Service in 2023 Dr. Rosenberg treated young adults with a variety of co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT. She has training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, pediatric and health psychology, and psychological assessment. She has experience with individual, group, and family-based treatment and has provided care in inpatient psychiatric, intensive outpatient, and both inpatient and outpatient medical settings. Her clinical interests include multidisciplinary treatment, group therapy, and evidence-based psychological care for patients with chronic pain and chronic illness. Dr. Rosenberg has research experience focusing on risk and resilience processes, emerging adult development, and best training practices for medical providers. In addition, she enjoys being involved with education, training, and program development.
